I had a decent education, did my A levels then went to university to study History.
The problem was that once I'd graduated, I had no idea what to do next.
A couple of mates were in the same boat as me.
So, somewhat predictably, we decided to take a gap year and go traveling!
We'd all done part-time jobs at uni so we had just about enough savings... especially as we were headed for South-East Asia where most things were exceptionally cheap.
We visited Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar amongst other incredible places.
